Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Physician Practice Business Manager is responsible for the efficient and effective management of business operations within the Bristol Bay Area Health Corporation (BBAHC) provider services lines (emergency department, outpatient, inpatient, CHAP village clinics). This role oversees financial activities, administrative functions, facility enrollments, human resource liaison, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The individual in this position plays a crucial role in supporting the overall success and sustainability of region-wide health initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required five (5) years' management experience with rural health clinics and/or critical access hospitals. A bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or similar, master's degree in business or healthcare administration is preferred/ or for internal candidates, evidence of effective management of BBAHC programs and/or services. Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements including CMS, The Joint Commission, HRSA, Medicaid/Medicare, Credentialing/Enrollment, and the Community Health Aide Program. Knowledge of human resources provider contracting, contract negotiations, and monitoring. Evidence of working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
Experience in Windows computer applications:
Word, Excel and Access. Experience with the duties, responsibilities, and vital role of the CHAP in the rural Alaska,
