Job Description
Dental front office and insurance billing experience is required for this position — please do not apply without it. Bliss Pediatric Dentistry is hiring a Dental Office Manager to run the front office of our growing pediatric dental practice in San Carlos, CA. From $32 per hour, depending on experience. This is a hands-on front office role. You will be the person at the desk greeting families, answering the phone, scheduling patients, and running the business side of the practice: insurance verification, dental billing, claims, and accounts receivable. You will work directly with the doctor, which means the systems you build are the systems the practice runs on. What you will do Front desk and patient scheduling: greet patients and parents, answer phones, schedule and confirm appointments, manage recall Insurance verification: verify dental benefits and PPO coverage before every appointment, review EOBs, and explain coverage clearly to parents Dental billing and claims: submit clean claims, work denials and appeals, post payments Accounts receivable: manage patient balances and payment plans, run collections, and keep AR current Practice management software: run day-to-day operations in our cloud-based dental practice management system Compliance and administration: maintain HIPAA and OSHA documentation, manage supply and vendor ordering Team support: as the practice grows, help hire, onboard, and train front office staff What we are looking for 2+ years of dental front office experience. Dental office manager, front office lead, or treatment coordinator experience preferred Hands-on dental PPO insurance experience: PPO benefit verification, claims submission, denials and appeals, PPO fee schedules, and AR follow-up Experience with dental practice management software such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, Curve, Denticon, or tab32 Strong phone and communication skills, and real patience with children and their parents Organized and dependable, with the instinct to build a system rather than work a task list Nice to have Dental PPO credentialing and fee schedule experience Pediatric dental experience Experience with cloud-based dental software (Curve, Denticon, tab32, CareStack, or similar) Denti-Cal or HPSM experience AADOM membership or FAADOM certification Schedule and pay Consistent weekly schedule, discussed at interview From $32.00 per hour, depending on experience Benefits Paid sick leave Paid holidays Continuing education allowance Paid AADOM professional membership Room to grow responsibility as the practice grows Location In person, San Carlos, CA 94070.
