Overview We are a newer, one doctor, small animal Veterinary Clinic in the Gulf Place community of Santa Rosa Beach, FL! We are a family-owned, faith-based Veterinary Clinic where we believe that our work is not just a profession, but a calling. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician/Office Manager to join our team and help lead our clinic's operations while also providing hands-on medical support. This hybrid role combines clinical and administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate is a skilled veterinary technician with strong leadership and organizational abilities, capable of balancing patient care with day-to-day management of the clinic.

Responsibilities:

Veterinary Technician Duties:

Assist the veterinarian in examinations, surgeries, and treatments of animals. Perform routine Idexx laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures, including digital X-rays. Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian. Monitor animal health during procedures and recovery, ensuring comfort and safety. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient. Provide animal restraint during examinations and procedures to ensure safety. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the clinic environment. Care for hospitalized animals.

Office Manager Duties:

Oversee daily clinic operations and ensure workflow efficiency. Work closely with the veterinarian/clinic owner to support daily operations, implement daily goals, and maintain a positive, productive team culture. Supervise and support staff. Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance feedback. Handle client communications. Monitor inventory and order medical and office supplies. Uphold high clinic standards, policies, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in a veterinary setting; certification as a Veterinary Technician is preferred. Proven experience in a leadership or management role within a veterinary or medical setting. Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal husbandry practices. Familiarity with veterinary critical care protocols and procedures. Proficient in animal restraint techniques to ensure safe handling during examinations or treatments. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members. A compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners is essential. Reliable, positive, self-starter, motivated, professional, respectful, efficient, trustworthy, calm under pressure, handles conflict professionally, protects team morale, problem solver, and leads by example.

Schedule:

Monday through Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 8am-12pm. No weekends or holidays.
