Job Description

Role Purpose The Practice Manager is responsible for overseeing daily clinic operations and leading staff to ensure efficient workflows, strong quality outcomes, and a positive patient and employee experience. The role carries office-level responsibility for population health performance, utilization management, patient satisfaction and retention, and staff engagement and retention, while supporting providers in delivering high-quality, compliant care. Core Responsibilities Clinic Operations & Leadership Oversee daily office operations to ensure efficient patient flow, scheduling, and access Coordinate staffing schedules and coverage to maintain operational stability Identify workflow inefficiencies and implement process improvements Serve as the primary operational point of contact between providers, staff, and leadership Delegate work, provide guidance, and support staff performance Population Health, HEDIS & HCC Gap Closure Maintain responsibility for Office HEDIS performance and quality outcomes Oversee and drive closure of HEDIS, HCC, MRA, and preventive care gaps Collaborate with providers, the HEDIS Champion, and care coordination teams Support workflows that promote accurate documentation and compliant risk adjustment Monitor quality performance and escalate barriers as needed Utilization Management Maintain responsibility for office utilization patterns, including referrals, admissions, readmissions, and post-discharge follow-up Facilitate communication among providers, hospitalists, specialists, pharmacists, and care managers Support initiatives aimed at improving care coordination and reducing avoidable utilization Provider Support Ensure office operations allow providers to focus on patient care and documentation Assist with schedule balance across routine care, high-risk visits, urgent care, and preventive services Support provider engagement in quality and population health initiatives Patient Experience, Satisfaction & Retention Maintain responsibility for patient satisfaction and retention outcomes Ensure high standards of customer service, access, and continuity of care Address patient concerns and oversee timely resolution Monitor patient feedback and assist in improvement efforts Staff Supervision & Retention Directly supervise staff with responsibility for engagement, performance, and retention Train, coach, and support staff development Address employee concerns, performance issues, and disciplinary matters Ensure timesheets are completed accurately and on time Promote a respectful, collaborative, and accountable work environment Compliance, Safety & Office Management Ensure access standards, policies, and procedures are followed Complete Safety Coordinator responsibilities Ensure medical and office supplies are ordered and maintained Coordinate preventative maintenance and equipment service Troubleshoot system issues with the IT Department Notify leadership of concerns related to patient service, staffing, or systems Administrative & Strategic Support Coordinate and oversee special projects (HEDIS, MRA, 5-Star initiatives) Participate in operational reviews and practice improvement discussions Support pilot initiatives and other assigned projects Performance Expectations Performance may be evaluated based on: Office HEDIS and quality results HCC and preventive care gap closure Utilization trends and care coordination effectiveness Patient satisfaction and retention Staff engagement and retention Operational efficiency and teamwork

$52,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
