Job Overview We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Medical Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our mental health clinic. The ideal candidate will possess extensive medical office management expertise, strong leadership skills, and a thorough understanding of healthcare regulations and practice management. Duties Manage all administrative functions of the clinic, including scheduling, patient flow, and staff coordination. Oversee fiscal management activities such as budgeting, financial reporting, billing, and revenue cycle management. Supervise healthcare staff, including medical administrative support personnel, nurses, and other clinical team members. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA privacy standards and state/federal health policies. Utilize Athena Electronic Medical Records software to maintain accurate medical records and streamline workflow. Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to uphold high standards of patient care and operational efficiency. Coordinate human resources functions such as hiring, training, performance evaluations, and staff development initiatives. Requirements Proven experience managing a medical, surgical, or psychiatric office with a strong background in healthcare practice management. Extensive knowledge of medical billing, coding, and financial management within a healthcare setting. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Athena Health; familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and Google Drive is essential. Demonstrated supervisory experience managing healthcare teams in clinical environments with acute or critical care exposure preferred. Strong understanding of healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance and health policy standards. Excellent managerial communication skills coupled with customer service expertise to foster positive patient interactions. Ability to handle medical records management accurately while ensuring data security and confidentiality. Experience in managing budgets, utilization management, managed care processes, and medical administrative support functions.
