This role offers an exciting opportunity to combine your expertise in optometry, retail management, and healthcare regulations to create a welcoming environment for patients and staff alike. As the cornerstone of our optical office, you will ensure smooth clinic workflows, uphold patient confidentiality, and foster a team-oriented atmosphere that emphasizes quality care and customer satisfaction. Duties Oversee the daily functioning of the optical practice, including appointment scheduling, patient flow, and staff coordination Maintain compliance with HIPAA, state healthcare regulations, clinical confidentiality policies, and medical records management standards Supervise front desk operations including cash register transactions and retail sales activities Coordinate with ophthalmologists and optometrists to facilitate clinical procedures, vital signs measurement, and medical terminology application Handle medical billing and coding accurately within EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Nextech or other electronic medical record platforms Provide excellent customer service by assisting patients within all departments while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor Qualifications Proven experience in retail optometry management with a strong understanding of optics and eyewear fitting techniques Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, clinical confidentiality policies, and health regulation policies Experience operating EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Nextech or similar platforms for medical records management Strong background in retail sales, system operation, cash register handling, and retail math skills Ability to manage clinic operations efficiently while maintaining high standards of patient care and staff supervision Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction and team collaboration Basic math proficiency for inventory management and billing processes; medical coding knowledge is a plus Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion while ensuring compliance with medical billing standards and healthcare regulations Embark on a rewarding career where your leadership transforms patient experiences while advancing your expertise in optical eye health services.
