full-time Manufacturing Office Manager / Bookkeeper Redford, Michigan | On-site 85,000 - 95,000 + Bonus The Clark Agency is partnering with an established, family-owned manufacturer to hire a blended role - Office Manager/Accounting Supervisor. The company has been in business for approximately 30 years, is about $24 million in revenue with 35-40 employees, and in recent years growing organically more than 10% annually. This is a hands-on role in a small-to-midsize manufacturing office. You will own day-to-day accounting administration and office coordination-from customer order through purchasing, invoicing, and shipment. Senior management handles forecasting, banking, and analysis. Outside CPAs manages taxes. The priority is accurate monthly books, reliable AP/AR, and clean office execution!
Compensation:
Approximately $90,000, depending on experience.
Bonus:
Monthly company-performance bonus when sales goals are met.
Schedule:
On-site; typical hours 7:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. or 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. No hybrid or remote option. Accounting & Bookkeeping Manage AP and AR Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks Prepare customer invoices and process vendor invoices Reconcile accounts and support month-end close Follow up on past-due receivables Keep organized financial and business records Work with outside accountants and ownership as needed Customer Orders & Administration Receive, enter, and track customer purchase orders Coordinate requirements with production and shipping Communicate with customers on orders, deliveries, and documentation Maintain customer files, pricing, and related records Purchasing & Vendors Prepare and process purchase orders Work with suppliers on pricing, availability, and delivery Follow up on open POs Coordinate purchasing with production and inventory Maintain vendor records Shipping & Inventory Coordination Coordinate with shipping so orders go out correctly and on time Prepare and review bills of lading and other shipping documents Assist with LTL / common-carrier scheduling Maintain shipping and receiving records Coordinate inventory information across office, production, and shipping Assist with hazardous-material shipping documentation when applicable Office Management Coordinate daily office activity Maintain company records and simple, reliable procedures Work directly with ownership Support employees, customers, and vendors on administrative issues Identify problems and close them out Required 5+ years accounting, bookkeeping, office management, or similar Strong QuickBooks Hands-on AP/AR Excel, Word, and Outlook Strong organization, accuracy, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities Clear written and verbal communication Ability to work independently and own the function Strongly preferred Manufacturing, chemical, coatings, automotive supplier, or industrial distribution background Purchasing, inventory, and customer order processing Shipping documentation, bills of lading, and LTL freight Experience coordinating office staff Accounting degree or related college education Benefits Medical and dental 401(k) PTO - plus paid plant shutdown weeks around July 4th and Christmas
