Qualified Professional- Operations and Program Manager
Job Description
A Brighter Day Community Supports is seeking a highly organized, dependable, and experienced QP / Office Manager to oversee day-to-day member operations, staff coordination, quality assurance, documentation, and office administration. This position combines Qualified Professional (QP) responsibilities with operational leadership . The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities, supporting direct-care staff, communicating with care managers and families, and ensuring services are delivered in accordance with member goals, authorizations, and applicable NC Medicaid and LME/MCO requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Member & QP Operations Coordinate and oversee new member onboarding and service implementation. Review ISPs/PCPs, authorizations, goals, service documentation, and member records. Conduct required member contacts, home visits, assessments, and staff supervision as applicable. Monitor member progress and ensure services remain goal-driven and person-centered. Review service notes for accuracy, quality, interventions, progress, and authorization alignment. Participate in care-team and person-centered planning meetings. Communicate with care managers, guardians, families, providers, and LME/MCO representatives. Identify and escalate health, safety, behavioral, staffing, or compliance concerns. Office & Staff Management Manage daily office workflow and operational priorities. Coordinate employee and independent-contractor onboarding. Track background checks, credentials, training, certifications, and required documentation. Monitor staff schedules, coverage, documentation, and performance. Follow up consistently on incomplete or late documentation. Support EVV compliance and resolution of time-entry/documentation issues. Assist with payroll preparation by ensuring required documentation is complete and approved. Quality Assurance & Compliance Conduct routine member-chart and service-documentation audits. Monitor compliance with NC Medicaid, LME/MCO, agency, and service requirements. Track authorizations, assessments, reviews, incidents, corrective actions, and other deadlines. Assist with audits, monitoring visits, and accreditation/compliance activities. Participate in QA/QI activities and continuous process improvement. Maintain strict confidentiality and protect member information.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in a related field or other education/experience meeting applicable NC QP requirements for the services assigned . Must meet applicable N orth Carolina Qualified Professional requirements for assigned services. Previous experience in NC IDD, behavioral health, Medicaid, or home- and community-based services strongly preferred. Knowledge of NC Medicaid documentation, service authorization, person-centered planning, and LME/MCO processes preferred. Strong organizational, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency with electronic records, Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, EVV, and other technology systems. Ability to work independently while maintaining accountability for deadlines and results. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel locally for member-related responsibilities.
