About Us PRINE Health Medical Group is a growing multispecialty medical group serving patients across Long Island. We are seeking an experienced, self-directed Office Manager to lead our busy Nephrology practice in Manhasset. About the Role This is a demanding, high-volume position and is not an entry-level management role. Our nephrology physicians see patients in the office, in hospitals, and in dialysis centers, and the Office Manager keeps all of it running smoothly. You will be the person the physicians, staff, and our shared office partners rely on to solve problems, keep things moving, and get things right the first time. This office shares space with another PRINE Health practice, so strong coordination and a collaborative approach are essential. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day office operations, including patient flow, scheduling, and front desk functions Supervise front desk staff and medical assistants, including scheduling, coverage, training, and performance Partner with HR on hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations for office staff Oversee the office phone system, ensuring calls are handled promptly and professionally Create and maintain the physician call schedule Oversee physician credentialing and privileging with hospitals and dialysis centers, and coordinate payer credentialing with our credentialing team Monitor billing for accuracy, including ensuring in-office medications are properly documented, captured, billed, and reimbursed Work with the billing team to identify and resolve denials, missed charges, and reimbursement issues Serve as the primary point of contact for physician partners on operational matters Coordinate shared space, resources, and schedules with the co-located practice Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and improve the patient experience Maintain compliance with office policies, HIPAA, and regulatory requirements Perform other office management duties as needed What We're Looking For Minimum 3 years of medical office management experience (required) Hands-on experience with both front-end (scheduling, registration, insurance verification) and back-end (billing, coding, denials, collections) operations Experience with hospital privileging and provider credentialing Working knowledge of medical billing and reimbursement; nephrology, dialysis, or specialty practice experience strongly preferred Experience supervising medical assistants and front desk staff Knowledge of medical terminology Proficiency with EMR and practice management systems Proven ability to work independently, prioritize under pressure, and resolve problems without waiting for direction Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work directly with physician partners You'll Thrive Here If You Know how a medical practice runs from check-in to payment and can spot where things break down Take ownership and follow through until issues are resolved Stay calm and organized in a fast-paced environment Enjoy being the go-to person for physicians and staff Compensation $75,000 to $85,000 annually, based on experience Schedule Full-time, Monday through
