Practice Manager - Psychiatric Medical Group Los Angeles, CA | Primarily Onsite with Hybrid Flexibility An established, physician-led psychiatric medical group is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to oversee daily operations, support providers and administrative staff, and lead improvements in medical billing workflows. This is an opportunity for a hands-on healthcare leader who enjoys managing people, solving operational challenges, and taking ownership of projects. You will work closely with leadership to support a provider network serving multiple hospitals and healthcare facilities across Southern California. What You'll Do Coordinate daily practice operations across a geographically distributed team. Support physicians, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and administrative staff. Help manage staffing needs, provider coordination, and communication across locations. Lead improvements in medical billing processes, including reconciliation and resolution of discrepancies. Work with providers and billing personnel to address documentation, coding, and workflow gaps. Establish clear processes and accountability for administrative responsibilities. Help coordinate a software transition and support staff adoption of new workflows. Identify operational challenges and follow improvement projects through to completion. What We're Looking For Previous experience in medical practice management or a comparable healthcare operations leadership role. Experience working directly with physicians and advanced practice providers. Practical knowledge of medical billing, coding, and billing reconciliation. Ability to lead administrative teams and manage competing priorities. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Comfort learning new technology and supporting operational changes. Experience supporting multiple locations or remote teams is a plus. Behavioral health or psychiatry practice experience is a plus. Location and Schedule This position is primarily onsite in the Los Angeles area, with flexibility to work from home one day per week. Coordination with teams in other counties is generally handled remotely, with occasional in-person visits anticipated approximately once per quarter. Why Consider This Opportunity?
