Summary:

The Research Protocol Office Manager plays a crucial role in managing and overseeing the research protocol office within an organization.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as health care administration, research administration, or a related discipline), along with experience in research administration and protocol management will be required.

Licensure:

Certification through ACRP or its equivalent preferred.

Experience:

Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills as well as familiarity with relevant regulations and ethical guidelines is required.

Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of regulatory guidelines and compliance standards relevant to the research field. Strong organizational skill to manage and prioritize tasks effectively. Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness in protocol documentation. Ability to lead and motivate a team of research coordinators. Ability to foster a collaborative environment within the research department and with external stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges and obstacles that may arise. Ability to effectively implement solutions. Ability to navigate an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and other relevant software. Ability to make ethical decisions to ensure that research protocols comply with ethical standards. Ability to maintain required privacy of research subjects. Commitment to continuous learning. Basic understanding of budgeting and financial management for research protocols. Ability to assure the accuracy and integrity of research data.
