JOB SUMMARY
Mercury Animal Hospital Inc. is looking for a Veterinary Office Manager who will be pivotal in keeping our practice organized, efficient and client-patient focused. This vital role combines administrative excellence with a deep understanding of veterinary practices, animal care, and client communication. As the cornerstone of our team, you will ensure smooth hospital workflows, uphold high standards of animal welfare, and foster a welcoming environment for pet owners and their beloved animals. RESPONSIBILITIES
Many of your responsibilities focuses on day-to-day operations including but not limited to: Coordinate and manage all office administration procedures Screening telephone calls Preparing employee work schedules and managing the staff Resolve conflicts among office staff members Be able to answer pet owner's questions regarding hospital policies, appointment availabilities and treatment costs Be patient, detail-oriented and be able to multitask Responsible for the reviewing applications, interviews, training new hires (receptionist); all employee employment reviews Overseeing appointment scheduling, billing and client communications Works closely with the Practice Manager Ensures compliance with OSHA, DEA, State veterinary regulations and hospital protocols Ensure compliance with veterinary terminology standards and accurate record keeping for all patient histories, treatments, and procedures Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding animal behavior, health status, treatment plans, and post-visit instructions to foster trust and clarity

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED Bachelor's or associate degree in business administration or related field is an advantage Minimum of 3+ years of Veterinary Office Manager experience or a minimum of 5+ years of Veterinary Receptionist Experience with Veterinary practice management software is a plus Great organizational and time-management skills Ensures compliance with OSHA, DEA, State veterinary regulations and hospital protocols Experience with scheduling, staffing and team development Proficient with general office equipment (ie. Multi-line phone system, fax, scanner) Proficient all Microsoft Office applications (ie. Word, Excel, etc.) Familiarity with front desk operations including client communication, record keeping, and appointment scheduling.
Pay:
$19.00 - $25.00 per hour
