Schedule:
Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM•4:30
PM Salary:
$50,000•55,000 annually (based on experience)
Start Date:
Immediate A well-established healthcare organization is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Medical Records Specialist to join its team. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations, and supporting administrative and billing functions through timely and efficient documentation. Key Responsibilities Organize, maintain, and securely manage patient medical records in both electronic and paper formats Retrieve and distribute medical records for authorized internal departments and external requests Review records for completeness, accuracy, and HIPAA compliance Process medical record requests in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations Collaborate with billing and administrative teams to ensure documentation is complete and accurate for claim processing Manage record retention schedules and coordinate the secure disposal of outdated records Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or relevant certification preferred 1-2 years of experience in medical records or a healthcare administrative role Working knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical terminology Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office What We Offer Stable Monday-Friday schedule Competitive salary based on experience Collaborative, team-oriented work environment Opportunity for professional growth within a respected healthcare organization If you're organized, dependable, and passionate about accuracy and patient confidentiality, we'd love to hear from you.
