The Medical Records Clerk maintains medical records in accordance with federal and state guidelines, as well as facility policies and procedures, to ensure that a complete medical records program is maintained.

We can work with your scheduling needs: 8 hour shifts Full Time What you will need to be a part of our EPIC team: High school diploma or equivalent. 1+ years of related experience, with a working knowledge of medical terminology. Good written and verbal English communication skills. Strong organizational skills. Must be thorough and detail-oriented. Ability to communicate effectively with residents, physicians, visitors, and all facility personnel. Good computer skills; experience with electronic medical records desired. How you will help people every day : Maintain current records of all residents admitted/discharged by the facility in accordance with established policies and procedures. Maintain hard copy and electronic records of resident admissions, discharges, census, and various other data, as directed by the Administrator or Director of Nursing. Audit resident charts for compliance. Maintain current knowledge of medical records practices and procedures, governing rules, regulations and state survey standards. Attend and participate in continuing education and in-service programs. Follow federal and state skilled nursing facilities regulations and department policies and procedures, as well as HIPPA related regulations.
