In this role, you will support preservice and concurrent reviews by translating Medical Director decisions into accurate, compliant correspondence. You will play a vital role in ensuring that all letters, particularly time-sensitive denials and escalations, meet strict regulatory turnaround times.
Core Responsibilities Correspondence Generation:
Generate, process, and maintain accurate correspondence for both members and healthcare providers regarding preservice and concurrent reviews.
Clinical Translation:
Draft official correspondence based directly on Medical Director review documentation, ensuring all medical context is accurately represented.
Workflow Prioritization:
Actively manage and prioritize daily queues, with a focus on processing pending denial letters, handling urgent escalations, and meeting rigid compliance deadlines.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all correspondence tasks are executed in strict accordance with industry regulatory standards, state/federal guidelines, and internal company policies.
Training and Performance Expectations Structured Onboarding:
Complete a comprehensive initial training program, followed by a dedicated 1-on-1 team-specific training session to master role-specific workflows.
Production Targets:
Achieve and sustain a daily production metric of 30 to 35 completed letters once fully trained and acclimated to the role.
Qualifications and Core Skills Experience:
1 to 2 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in healthcare administration, medical records, or a high-volume correspondence role. Computer Proficiency (Primary Skill): foundational computer skills, including navigating multiple systems simultaneously and efficient, accurate typing. Multitasking (Secondary Skill): Proven ability to manage competing priorities, handle escalations, and maintain workflow momentum in a fast-paced environment. Attention to Detail (Tertiary Skill): Exceptional accuracy in reading comprehension, data entry, and written communication to ensure zero-defect regulatory correspondence.
