Remote or On-Site, United States Hourly Pay:
$17 (this position is bonus eligible)Work Schedule:
Mo - Fr / 7am - 7pm Central / 8 hrs per day / 40 hrs per weekJOB SUMMARY
The Revenue Cycle Medical Billing Claim Status Medical Records position is responsible for timely submission of transport and facility records when a request or denial has been received from a payor. Once the records are received, this position is responsible submitting the records to the payor.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
Meet daily and monthly departmental production goals set by the supervisor to ensure that the company is achieving its financial goals. Identify, document, and communicate trends in recurring denials or records requests. Recommend process improvements or system edits to eliminate future denials or delays in reimbursement. Document all account activity in an accurate and timely manner.QUALIFICATIONS
Required Experience:
Must be fluent in English Minimum of 1-year, full-time experience in medical billing Minimum of 50 words per minute (typing) Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing Must possess empathic and professional written and verbal communication skills Knowledge and experience of computers and related technology, at an intermediate levelPreferred Experience:
Minimum of 6 months of work in a call center environment Minimum of 6 months of customer service experience Ability to calculate numbers, correct entries, and post to records Knowledge and understanding of payor Explanation of Benefits (basic) Knowledge of health care billing compliance regulations (basic)Preferred Education:
