- Time Instructor, Health Information Technology
- FY 2026 Job Description Responsibilities of a Part-Time Health Information Technology Instructor include but are not limited to: Instruct introductory or advanced medical diagnosis and procedure coding (ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT) Instruct short course in medical terminology in classroom and/or online Develop syllabi and course materials in conjunction with Program Director.
Required Qualifications:
Current CCS or CCS-P credential OR RHIT or RHIA credential with recent 5 years inpatient and outpatient medical coding experience.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with in-person instruction. Proficiency in the use of on-line Learning Management Systems such as Canvas. Salary Information $925 per Instructional Unit for Lecture Classes, $57.81 per hour of Lab or Clinical Instruction.
