What You'll Do:
Prep records for scanning (remove staples/clips, repair torn pages, sort/batch by document type) Identify and separate document types on sight (H&Ps, progress notes, orders, consents, labs, discharge summaries, etc.) Scan and verify image quality, orientation, and completeness Index documents to correct patient, encounter, and date of service Maintain batch/volume tracking and flag missing or illegible records Handle PHI in accordance with HIPAA and hospital policyRequirements:
✔ HS Diploma/GED min education requirement ✔ 1+ yr experience with paper medical records ✔ Working knowledge of paper medical record organization; able to identify document types on sight ✔ Proficient in Excel (data entry, sorting, filtering) ✔ Strong accuracy with repetitive detail work ✔ Able to lift/carry record boxes up to 25 lbs; stand/bend/reach for extended periods ✔ Prior HIM or hospital document imaging experience a plus ✔ Epic familiarity & medical terminology knowledge a plus Apply now!Pay:
