Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Health Information Technician to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will manage and maintain accurate, complete, and secure medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Your expertise will ensure compliance with health information management standards, healthcare privacy protection policies, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities Accurately organize, code, and maintain medical records in electronic health record (EHR) systems and electronic medical records (EMR) platforms Ensure compliance with health information management standards, healthcare privacy laws, and clinical confidentiality policies Review and verify medical documentation for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to medical terminology standards Assist healthcare providers with documentation processes, including medical coding and records retrieval Manage the lifecycle of patient records from creation through secure storage or disposal in accordance with health regulation policies Support revenue cycle management by ensuring proper documentation for billing and reimbursement purposes Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with healthcare privacy protection regulations Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting purposes Strong knowledge of health information management principles and practices Familiarity with health regulation policies, including HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) compliance Experience working with Electronic Health Records (EHR) or Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems Excellent customer service skills to assist healthcare providers and patients effectively Deep understanding of clinical confidentiality policies and healthcare privacy laws Ability to interpret medical terminology accurately for record coding and documentation purposes Knowledge of medical coding practices relevant to billing processes Skills in records management, including secure storage, retrieval, and disposal of medical files Experience with revenue cycle management processes related to documentation and billing accuracy Join us to play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of health information while supporting exceptional patient care!
