Job Description

Front Office Coordinator Southeastern Podiatry LLC | Madison, AL $22-$24/hour (Approximately $45,760 - $49,920 annually at 40 hours/week) Monday-Friday, 7:30am-3:30pm. About the practice Southeastern Podiatry is a solo podiatry practice opening in Madison, AL this fall. This is a ground-floor role. You'll be the first face and voice patients encounter at the practice. An ideal candidate will be a self motivated individual willing to grow with the practice. Front desk medical receptionist experience in a clinical setting is what we're looking for. What you'll do: Greet and check patients in and out; collect copays and outstanding balances Answer and triage phone calls; schedule and confirm appointments. Verify insurance eligibility and benefits before appointments, including specialty coverage questions. Obtain prior authorizations as needed. Scan and file intake paperwork; process medical records requests. Coordinate inbound and outbound referrals. Track orthotic and DME orders and notify patients when devices arrive. Manage recall lists and follow up on no-shows. Keep the waiting room, front office, and exam rooms tidy and stocked. Work with our billing partner on claim questions and patient statements. What we're looking for:
Required:
Prior experience in a medical office front desk role. Comfort with insurance verification. Working knowledge of medical terminology. Reliable, punctual, and genuinely warm with patients. Comfortable working independently in a small office.
Preferred:
Experience with Tebra (formerly Kareo) or a comparable EHR/practice management system Prior authorization experience. Experience in a small or solo practice. Familiarity with payer portals. Why this role Predictable daytime schedule with no evenings, weekends, or on-call. Small practice. No layers of management, direct communication with the physician.
