In this vital role, you will manage front desk operations for an Internal Medicine/Dermatology practice, facilitate smooth patient flow, and support clinical staff with administrative tasks. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner, ensuring a positive first impression and efficient check-in process Schedule appointments accurately Verify patient insurance coverage Manage patient records by updating EHR systems or other clinic-specific software, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality Answer multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately and taking detailed messages Maintain organized filing of medical records, ensure compliance with HIPAA policies, and support health information management efforts Requirements Proven experience in a medical office or clinical setting with strong clerical skills and familiarity with EMR/EHR systems Ability to perform accurate 10-key typing and proficient use of Microsoft Office applications for documentation purposes Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and effective phone communication abilities Strong understanding of medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and clinical confidentiality policies Prior clinic experience is highly desirable for understanding healthcare workflows Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail in managing medical records, appointment scheduling, and office administration tasks Ability to multitask, problem solve and prioritize tasks effectively Only looking for serious applicants interested in long-term employment for an established (19 years), family-owned private practice.
