Duties Greet patients warmly, verify appointment details, and assist with check-in procedures using dental-specific EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix Schedule appointments efficiently, coordinate with dental staff, and manage multi-line phone systems with professionalism and courtesy. Verify insurance coverage Review documentation for accuracy, ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, and maintain meticulous medical records in electronic health record (EHR) systems. Conduct insurance verification, explain treatment plans to patients, and facilitate intake procedures for new patients. Manage office administrative tasks such as filing, data entry using 10-key typing skills, and maintaining organized patient files. Support the dental team by coordinating care plans, assisting with medical administrative support tasks, and ensuring smooth front desk operations. Skills Proven experience in a dental or medical office setting with strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical billing practices. Strong patient service skills with exceptional phone etiquette, clerical experience, and the ability to handle multi-line phone systems confidently. Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards ensures confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive health information. Experience with dental office management software such as Dentrix .
