Medical Receptionist - DME ( Durable Medical Equipment)

DME Receptionist Location:
Eureka, CA (Fully Onsite)Schedule:
Full-Time, 40 hours per weekPay:
$20-$22.50 per hour (depending on experience) We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for patients while supporting the coordination and processing of durable medical equipment (DME) orders. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and enjoys providing exceptional service. Key Responsibilities Greet and assist patients in a professional and welcoming manner Answer, screen, and route incoming calls efficiently Schedule appointments and coordinate equipment pickups and deliveries Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and required documentation Communicate with physicians' offices and insurance providers as needed Track and manage DME orders (e.g., wheelchairs, CPAP machines, oxygen equipment) Address basic billing inquiries or direct them to the appropriate department Maintain an organized and efficient front desk environment Perform additional administrative duties as assigned Required Skills & Qualifications Strong customer service and communication skills Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask Attention to detail and commitment to patient confidentiality (HIPAA compliance) Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar systems Familiarity with insurance verification processes (preferred) Basic knowledge of medical terminology (preferred) Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required Prior experience in a receptionist, medical office, or customer service role preferred Experience in a healthcare or DME setting is a plusPay:
