Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Front Desk Receptionist to join our front desk team at our busy physical therapy clinic. This role is much more than basic clerical work — our front desk team is the first point of contact for patients who are often in pain and seeking help , so professionalism, patience, and empathy are essential. Our clinic sees 700+ patients per week and manages the schedules of 12 providers , making this a high-volume, fast-paced environment . The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, can manage multiple tasks at once, and maintains a positive and supportive attitude with patients and staff. You will be one of four front office team members , working together to manage patient flow, scheduling, and phone communication throughout the day. While the clinic is busy, our team works collaboratively to ensure the front office runs smoothly. Key Responsibilities Answer and manage high volumes of incoming phone calls Schedule new and returning patient appointments Coordinate and maintain provider schedules Check patients in and out for appointments Collect patient payments including co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles Collect and verify patient information Maintain accurate patient records Assist patients with paperwork and clinic processes Communicate effectively with providers and clinical staff Maintain a welcoming and professional front office environment What We're Looking For Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Strong multitasking and organizational skills Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations Compassion and patience when interacting with patients who may be in pain or frustrated Comfortable handling frequent phone calls and scheduling requests Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented Preferred Qualifications Previous medical office or front desk experience Experience with scheduling software or EMR systems Familiarity with physical therapy or healthcare environments Why Join Our Team Supportive team environment Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients' recovery journeys Fast-paced workplace for individuals who enjoy staying busyJob Type:
