Kaur Dentistry in Madera, CA is looking for a professional Front Desk Receptionist to join our dedicated dental team. We pride ourselves on providing excellent patient care in a warm and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients warmly and maintain a friendly, professional, and welcoming environment. Answer and manage a multi-line telephone system, respond to patient inquiries, and direct calls appropriately. Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments accurately and efficiently. Check patients in and out while verifying personal and insurance information. Collect co-payments, deductibles, outstanding balances, and other patient payments. Accurately post insurance and patient payments to the appropriate accounts. Submit dental insurance claims, supporting documentation, and preauthorization requests in a timely manner. Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits and accurately enter coverage details into the practice management software. Monitor outstanding insurance claims and follow up with insurance companies regarding delayed, denied, or underpaid claims. Work with insurance representatives to resolve claim issues promptly and accurately. Manage new-patient intake and ensure all required forms, insurance information, and medical histories are completed. Communicate clearly with patients regarding treatment plans, estimated insurance coverage, financial responsibilities, and available payment arrangements. Maintain complete and accurate patient records and update demographic, insurance, and account information as needed. Coordinate referrals to dental specialists and follow up with patients and specialty offices as necessary. Manage daily office correspondence, including emails, patient messages, insurance communications, and incoming documents. Collaborate with dentists, hygienists, dental assistants, and other team members to support efficient patient flow. Address patient questions and concerns professionally and assist in resolving service or account-related issues. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and all applicable office policies. Keep the front desk, reception area, and administrative workspaces clean, organized, and presentable. Perform additional administrative duties as assigned by the office manager or practice owner.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in a dental office front desk role preferred Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance plans Experience with dental practice management software Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills High school diploma or equivalent required
