Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Front Office Receptionist to join our dental office . This position requires prior experience in a dental office —if you don't have dental experience, please do not apply. The ideal candidate will be proficient in dental terminology , have experience with Open Dental software , and be comfortable handling front-office duties such as checking patients in and out.
Requirements:
At least 1 year of experience in a dental office (required). Strong understanding of dental terminology . Proficiency with Open Dental software is a must. Ability to check patients in and out with excellent customer service. Friendly, professional demeanor and excellent communication skills. Ability to stay organized and multitask effectively. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and manage check-in and check-out processes. Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar efficiently. Handle patient inquiries via phone and in-person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette. Maintain accurate patient records using Open Dental software. Process insurance claims and verify patient insurance information. Assist with billing inquiries and ensure proper documentation of services rendered. Maintain a clean and organized reception area. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and confidentiality. Skills Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills, both verbal and written. Familiarity with ICD-9 coding is a plus. Why Join Our Team?
