Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Front Office Receptionist, where you will be the welcoming face and efficient coordinator for our medical practice. In this vital role, you will manage patient interactions, handle administrative tasks with precision, and ensure smooth clinic operations. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a positive experience for every patient while supporting the clinical team with essential administrative functions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of patient care, combining excellent customer service with comprehensive medical administrative support. Greet patients warmly upon arrival, ensuring a friendly and professional front desk presence. Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification processes efficiently. Schedule appointments accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks. Manage multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately and taking detailed messages. Maintain and update patient records, ensuring all documentation review complies with HIPAA regulations and health information management standards. Assist with medical billing and collection processes, including CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and Medicare claims submissions. Support clinic operations by managing medical records filing, data entry, and documentation review to ensure accuracy and completeness. Coordinate intake procedures for new patients and assist with medical scheduling to optimize provider availability. Perform office management duties such as filing, maintaining office supplies, and supporting front desk activities like typing reports or using Microsoft Office tools. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations by understanding HIPAA guidelines and safeguarding patient confidentiality at all times. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and medical billing procedures. Experience working with EMR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or Dentrix/Eaglesoft for dental clinics. Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with health information management software like Medisoft or Dentrix. Excellent customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and multi-line phone system operation. Ability to perform accurate 10-key typing quickly for data entry tasks. Prior clinic or medical office experience is highly preferred; dental clinic experience is a plus. Bilingual abilities are advantageous to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards and medical administrative support best practices. Strong organizational skills for filing, documentation review, insurance verification, and appointment scheduling. Experience with dental terminology and dental office management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is desirable for dental clinic roles.
