Job Description
Part-Time Medical Receptionist / Front Desk Overview We are an medical and cosmetic practice in Newport Beach seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Part-Time Medical Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced medical office. This position plays an important role in supporting our patients, physicians, and clinical staff, so strong communication, reliability, and follow-through are important qualities for success in this role. Responsibilities Greet and check in patients in a friendly and professional manner Schedule and confirm patient appointments Answer incoming calls and route messages appropriately Verify patient insurance information and assist with benefit verification as assigned Collect copayments, balances, and other patient payments Maintain and update patient information in eClinicalWorks (eCW) Assist patients with forms, portal questions, and general front-office needs Scan, fax, upload, and organize medical records and documents Communicate effectively with providers, clinical staff, billing, and other departments Support front-office operations while patients and providers are actively in clinic Assist with restocking and general front-office responsibilities Provide administrative support for our hearing aid division as assigned Complete assigned tasks and follow-ups accurately and within required timeframes Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements Qualifications Previous medical front office or receptionist experience preferred Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) is a plus Familiarity with insurance verification and medical terminology preferred Strong communication and customer service skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a busy office Professional, dependable, and team-oriented Comfortable working closely with physicians and multiple members of the care team Proficient with computers, email, and standard office software Bilingual proficiency is a plus
