Duties Greet patients warmly and provide exceptional customer service during check-in and check-out processes Schedule appointments accurately using dental office management software and coordinate follow-up visits Verify patient insurance coverage, explain treatment plans, and collect payments or co-pays in compliance with health insurance policies Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks to ensure precise documentation review and record keeping Handle phone communication professionally, answering inquiries about appointments, billing, or insurance with clarity and courtesy Maintain organized medical records, including filing documents and updating patient information in accordance with HIPAA confidentiality policies Assist with medical coding tasks such as CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9/ICD coding for billing purposes when necessary Requirements Proven experience in a medical office setting, preferably within a dental clinic environment Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth or similar platforms Familiarity with medical billing procedures, including medical collection processes and health insurance claims processing Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and effective communication abilities Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in documentation review and data entry Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel for administrative support tasks Bilingual skills are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively Knowledge of healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance and clinical confidentiality policies Experience with medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding, Medicare procedures, and care plan documentation is highly desirable Strong clerical skills including filing, 10-key typing, and accurate data entry for medical records management Join us as a Dental Front Desk Receptionist where your enthusiasm for healthcare administration will make a meaningful difference!
