Schedule:

Clinic hours typically 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Monday-Sunday. Flexibility for evenings and weekends required. VIP Animal Hospital Garfield is hiring a Veterinary Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our clients and patients. We are a busy, full-service small animal hospital focused on compassionate, modern care, same-day appointments when possible, and clear communication with pet owners. What you'll do Greet clients and patients, check them in and out, and keep the front desk organized and professional Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage the daily schedule Process payments, estimates, invoices, and payment plans (CareCredit / Cherry / similar) Maintain accurate medical records and client information Communicate treatment plans, estimates, and follow-up instructions clearly and kindly Coordinate with doctors, technicians, and management so appointments run on time Handle medical records requests, prescription refill questions, and basic client education Keep the reception area clean and stocked Support a fast-paced, high-volume environment without losing warmth or accuracy What we're looking for Reliable, professional, and calm under pressure Strong customer service and phone skills Comfortable with computers and learning veterinary software ( Covetrus Pulse preferred) Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and work as part of a team Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a requirement Prior veterinary or medical office experience preferred, but we will train the right person who is motivated and client-focused Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to ~25-40 lbs as needed for front-desk support Why work here Supportive team and doctors who value good front-desk work Opportunity to grow in a busy multi-clinic veterinary group Employee pet care discounts Competitive hourly pay based on experience (discuss during interview) Direct impact on how clients experience the hospital every day How to apply Email your resume to Indeed and a short note about why you want to work in veterinary reception to the Practice Manager, or drop it off in person at: VIP Animal Hospital Garfield 16301 Garfield Ave Paramount, CA 90723
