Job Description

Job Summary We are a physician-owned orthopedic medical group with three convenient locations serving patients throughout the Central Coast. This full-time in-person position is located in the Pismo Beach location. We are committed to providing exceptional patient care and are looking for a friendly, dependable, and professional Medical Receptionist to become part of our outstanding team. Whether speaking with patients on the phone or welcoming them into our office, you play an important role in creating a positive patient experience. We're looking for someone who is: Friendly, compassionate, and patient-focused Professional with excellent customer service skills Reliable, punctual, and dependable A collaborative team player who enjoys helping others Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment Comfortable using computers and learning electronic medical record (EMR) systems Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred, but not required) Responsibilities Greet and check patients in and out for appointments Schedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently Verify insurance eligibility and authorization requirements Collect co-pays, co-insurance, account balances, and surgery deposits Answer and direct calls using a multi-line phone system Maintain accurate patient records within the electronic medical record (EMR) system Protect patient privacy and maintain strict confidentiality Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and providers Perform other administrative duties as assigned Qualifications Ability to work Full-time, Monday - Friday Previous medical office or customer service experience preferred Experience with medical scheduling or practice management software is a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational and computer skills Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a busy medical office High school diploma or equivalent required If you enjoy working with people, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and want to be part of a respected orthopedic practice that values teamwork and excellent patient care, we'd love to hear from you.
Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
