Job Description

Overview We are seeking a friendly and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice! This position is part time - 3 days a week (Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday) with possibility for more time in upcoming months. This role is essential in providing excellent patient service and ensuring smooth daily operations. The Dental Receptionist will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointments, handling phone communications, and supporting administrative tasks to create a welcoming environment for all patients. Duties Greet patients and checkin patients Check patients out after their appointments - Collect copays, patient portions, and outstanding balances when appropriate Answer incoming phone calls promptly and professionally, responding to basic patient questions Prepare next day schedule, collect and update patient information, including insurance cards, medical history, and personal details Provide and collect necessary forms from patients for their visits or administrative purposes Schedule new patient appointments and manage scheduling for existing patients, including confirming upcoming appointments Reschedule cancellations and fill openings in the schedule to optimize appointment slots Post patient payments accurately into the system and provide receipts Candidates should have prior experience in a healthcare or dental office setting preferred but not required. Strong communication skills, particularly in phone etiquette, are essential. The ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining professionalism is key. Basic knowledge of insurance procedures and familiarity with scheduling software will be advantageous. A friendly demeanor, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills are important qualities for success in this role.
Pay:
From $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 21.0 per week
