Manage scheduling, confirmations, cancellations, recalls, and follow-ups to maintain a productive schedule. Communicate warmly and professionally with patients by phone, text, email, and in person. Be proficient in Dentrix, including scheduling, patient records, billing, insurance, and reports. Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, determine in-network and out-of-network status, and explain estimated coverage and patient responsibilities clearly. Handle insurance applications, provider credentialing, claims, attachments, and follow-up on unpaid or denied claims. Present treatment plans, explain fees and payment options, and help patients schedule recommended care. Collect copays and balances promptly, post payments accurately, and follow up on outstanding accounts. Maintain accurate, complete financial records, reconcile payments and deposits, and keep patient ledgers and bookkeeping impeccably organized. Prepare and organize income, expense, payroll, and account records for the CPA's quarterly tax preparation and review. Keep patient information and documentation complete, current, and confidential. Stay on top of tasks and deadlines, anticipate office needs, and work independently without constant supervision. Dental assisting experience is a plus. Candidates without this background must be willing to learn and help with back office duties when needed. Experience taking dental X-rays is a plus, but not required.

•Maintain a neat, clean, professional appearance and keep the front desk and shared work areas clean and orderly. Take pride in your work and demonstrate genuine enthusiasm for patient care and supporting the practice.

Pay:

$24.00 - $36.00 per hour Expected hours: 24.0 - 40.0 per week
