Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Dental Front Desk Receptionist/Administrator to join our team. This vital role involves managing patient interactions, coordinating appointments, and supporting administrative functions to ensure smooth clinic operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of medical and dental administrative procedures. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and schedule appointments efficiently using electronic scheduling systems. Manage patient check-in and check-out processes while maintaining accuracy in documentation review and data entry. Handle phone communication with professionalism, providing clear information and addressing patient inquiries promptly. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with clinical confidentiality policies in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Process medical billing and collections, including Medicare and health insurance claims, utilizing systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks. Assist with medical coding tasks including
CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10
coding to support billing processes. Support clinic operations by managing filing systems, performing 10-key typing, and ensuring office supplies are stocked appropriately. Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate care plans and coordinate patient services effectively. Experience Prior experience working in a dental or medical office setting is required, with demonstrated proficiency in front desk administration and medical billing. Knowledge of EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks is essential. Familiarity with health insurance procedures, including Medicare billing and health information management practices. Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health records management. Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Experience in clinic environments emphasizing medical terminology, documentation review, and clinical confidentiality policies is preferred. Excellent customer service skills combined with phone etiquette and professional demeanor are critical for success in this role.
