Job Description

We are an established general dental practice looking for an experienced Dental Front Office / Treatment Coordinator to join our team. Dental office experience is required. Applicants without prior dental front-office experience will not be considered. We are looking for someone who is confident, organized, efficient, and capable of handling most day-to-day front-office responsibilities independently . This is not a basic receptionist position. The ideal candidate has strong dental front-office experience and is comfortable with scheduling, insurance, treatment coordination, financial discussions, and patient communication. Previous lead front-office or office management experience is highly valued . Responsibilities Manage patient scheduling and help maintain a productive schedule Answer phones and handle patient questions confidently Check patients in and out Verify insurance benefits and understand PPO dental insurance Prepare and explain treatment estimates Present treatment plans and discuss financial arrangements Collect payments and assist with patient accounts Follow up on unscheduled treatment and recall Handle cancellations, scheduling changes, and patient concerns Communicate with patients regarding treatment, fees, and insurance Work closely with the doctor and office manager to keep daily operations running smoothly Take initiative and help resolve routine front-office issues independently Qualifications Previous dental front-office experience required Strong knowledge of dental terminology and insurance Experience with treatment presentation and financial discussions Reliable, punctual, and consistent attendance Able to work independently without requiring constant supervision Organized, efficient, and able to multitask Strong communication and customer-service skills Comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities and solving problems Previous lead coordinator or dental office management experience is a plus OpenDental experience is a plus Schedule Current schedule: Approximately 4-5 days per week with occasional Saturdays. Specific schedule will be discussed during the interview process. Compensation & Benefits $26-$29/hour , depending on experience and demonstrated ability.
