Job Description
Often the first encounter, can set the tone for the entire patient experience. We are looking for someone with genuine warmth and a helpful nature that can cheerfully greet patients in person and on the phone. We are seeking a highly organized and skilled Medical Receptionist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service, managing medical office operations, and utilizing various software systems. This role is perfect for those who have a passion for the medical field and enjoy interacting with patients and staff. Duties
- Greet patients and visitors, answer phone calls, and respond to emails in a professional and courteous manner.
- Manage dashboard for getting back to new patients through social media.
- Manage patient records and schedules using EHR software systems.
- Utilize phone systems to communicate with patients, insurance companies, and other healthcare providers.
- Demonstrate excellent patient service by addressing patient inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring patient satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area, including the waiting room, check-in desk, and storage areas.
- Handle patient billing and medical collection processes in a timely and efficient manner.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as preparing and distributing patient charts, and maintaining office supplies.
- Provide support to medical office staff, including scheduling appointments and answering questions.
- Ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information. Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a medical office or dental clinic is preferred.
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
- Strong patient service skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients and staff.
- Knowledge of phone etiquette and ability to communicate effectively over the phone.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Familiarity with medical collection procedures and billing processes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
