As our practice expands, we are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team at the front desk of our Manchester location . This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic healthcare environment.
Job Description:
We are looking for a Front Desk Coordinator who will play a key role in providing excellent customer service and administrative support to our patients and staff. The Front Desk Coordinator will greet patients, manage patient registration, verify insurance, collect payments, and ensure smooth patient flow through accurate data entry into our EMR system. This position requires flexibility in scheduling, including working one evening shift per week from 11:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Responsibilities:
Greet patients warmly and provide superior customer service. Assist patients with registration processes and address any inquiries. Enter and update patient information accurately in the EMR system. Confirm active insurance coverage and verify eligibility. Collect co-pays and outstanding balances from patients. Schedule follow-up appointments and manage appointment calendars. Complete daily reconciliation of charges, fee tickets, and payment methods. Handle phone calls and inquiries professionally and efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (required). Valid driver's license required for potential travel to other offices. Previous experience in orthopedics or a healthcare setting preferred. Ability to occasionally work evenings and weekends at walk-in centers. Proficiency in medical terminology and EMR systems. Strong communication skills and customer service orientation. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Knowledge of insurance plans, including worker's compensation. Solid math skills for handling payments and reconciliations.
