Medical Receptionist Stamford, CT Overview:
Our medical office in Stamford is seeking a Medical Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for patients, clients, and visitors. Our role combines front desk operations with scheduling and administrative support. This is a permanent opportunity for a confident, service-focused professional.
Position Offers:
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (Summer Fridays, leaving at 2:30 PM) Competitive pay: $45,000-$50,000/year (DOE) Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) Sick Time Off (STO) Retirement plan with company match Health, dental, and vision insurance
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule appointments and manage patient follow-ups Greet and check in patients, clients, and visitors, ensuring a professional front desk experience Answer, screen, and route incoming calls Verify insurance coverage and scan and process documents Manage email correspondence and incoming and outgoing mail and packages Maintain the appearance and organization of the reception area and meeting spaces Coordinate meeting room bookings and support scheduling logistics Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and liaising with building management and vendors
Qualifications:
1+ year of scheduling experience in a medical, dental, or mental health office High school diploma or equivalent required Associate's or bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred Bilingual in Spanish preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
