Job Description

Job Summary The Orthopedic Center of Palm Beach County is seeking an organized, friendly, and professional Medical Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for patients, the Medical Receptionist plays a vital role in providing an excellent patient experience by managing front desk operations, scheduling, and administrative support in a fast-paced orthopedic setting. As a medical receptionist, you may have the opportunity to work in multiple locations (Boca and Boynton Beach).
Duties Patient Check-In and Check-Out:
Greet patients warmly, verify patient information, handle check-in and check-out processes, and manage patient flow within the clinic.
Scheduling:
Schedule follow-up appointments and communicate any necessary changes to patients and providers.
Insurance Verification:
Confirm insurance details, obtain referrals and authorizations, and update patient records to ensure accurate billing.
Communication:
Answer phone calls professionally, respond to patient inquiries, and direct calls or messages to appropriate staff members. Reach out to patients about their balance and referrals.
Medical Records and Documentation:
Organize and maintain patient files, scan and upload necessary documents
Billing and Payments:
Collect co-pays, manage payment transactions, provide receipts, and address basic billing inquiries.
Administrative Support:
Assist with various front-office duties as needed, including maintaining a clean and organized reception area and supporting the clinical team with administrative tasks.
Teamwork:
Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and address any concerns promptly. You may have the opportunity to work in multiple locations, including Boynton Beach, Wellington, Atlantis, and Boca Raton.
Qualifications:
Strong multi-tasking, attention to detail, and communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills, with a customer-service mindset. Ability to work well in a team and maintain strict confidentiality. Must have 2 years of experience working in a fast paced physician office. $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
