Duties Greet patients warmly in both English and Spanish, creating a friendly and professional atmosphere Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software such as Epic or Meditech Verify patient insurance coverage, including health insurance knowledge like Medicare and HIPAA compliance Collect payments and perform medical billing, including medical collection processes and documentation review Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems such as eClinicalWorks or Athenahealth, ensuring accurate data entry and record keeping Handle phone communication with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and appointment coordination Review clinical documentation for accuracy, including CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and care plan documentation Maintain organized medical records and ensure compliance with clinical confidentiality policies Assist with medical office administrative support tasks such as filing, data entry (10 key typing), and office management duties Requirements Proven experience in a dental or medical front desk role with clinic experience preferred Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is essential to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly under HIPAA guidelines Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) along with strong typing skills (10 key typing) Knowledge of clinical confidentiality policies and medical terminology necessary for accurate documentation review Office experience in a healthcare setting preferred; familiarity with dental clinic operations is advantageous Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environmentJoin us to make a positive impact on patient experiences while advancing your career in healthcare administration!
