Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly and professional Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have exceptional customer service skills and a strong attention to detail. As the first point of contact for our patients, the Front Desk Receptionist plays a key role in providing a positive and welcoming experience. This position involves handling patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, and assisting with various administrative tasks in a busy medical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries related to appointments, services, and general information. Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring accuracy of information. Check patients in and out, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed and up to date. Verify insurance information and obtain necessary authorizations. Collect patient payments and issue receipts as needed. Maintain patient records in a confidential and organized manner. Assist with patient intake and paperwork, including obtaining medical histories. Coordinate communication between patients and medical staff. Ensure waiting areas are clean, comfortable, and organized. Perform other administrative tasks as assigned, including filing, faxing, and data entry.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Receptionist in a healthcare or clinical setting. Bilingual — fluent in both English and Spanish (verbal and written). Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong focus on patient service. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification processes is a plus. Proficient with computers, scheduling software, and standard office equipment. Professional, courteous, and calm demeanor when interacting with patients and staff.
