Job Description
Medical Office Receptionist Job Duties Customer service is our top priority. Answer phones, make appointments, verify insurance and eligibility. Filing and computer skills is a must. Basic secretarial skills which would include handling paperwork in the medical field. Keep patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient's arrival; reminding provider of service delays. Must be able to communicate well with patients and providers. Must be able to do authorizations and referrals. Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records. Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information. Recording and collecting patient co-pays and deductible required by insurance carrier. Medical Office Receptionist experience a must. Multi-tasking, Flexibility, Telephone Skills, Customer Services, Time Management, Organization, Attention to Detail, Scheduling, Word Processing, Professionalism, Quality Focus This is a 32 hours a week position
