Job Description

Overview We are seeking a bilingual Spanish & English dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Treatment Plan Coordinator/Receptionist to join our dynamic dental team. This vital role combines administrative excellence with patient-centered service, ensuring seamless communication between patients, clinical staff, and insurance providers. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, comprehensive knowledge of dental and medical terminology, and experience with various Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a professional healthcare environment while providing exceptional support to our patients and team members. Responsibilities Manage patient intake, appointment scheduling, and front desk operations utilizing dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft. Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and handle medical billing using systems like Meditech, Epic, or Athenahealth to ensure accurate reimbursement. Review and update patient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of health information. Assist in developing and explaining treatment plans to patients, including detailed documentation review and explanation of procedures such as CPT coding and ICD-10 classifications. Coordinate with clinical staff to facilitate treatment scheduling, follow-up appointments, and care plan management. Handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette while providing exceptional patient service. Perform clerical duties including filing, data entry (10 key typing), maintaining medical records, and managing office supplies to support efficient clinic operations. Support the office management team by providing medical administrative support and ensuring smooth daily workflow in a fast-paced dental clinic environment. Skills Extensive experience with dental office management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; familiarity with EMR systems like Epic or Meditech is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), and insurance verification processes including Medicare guidelines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) along with excellent typing skills for accurate documentation review and data entry. Exceptional customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette to foster positive patient interactions. Ability to navigate multi-line phone systems efficiently while managing appointment scheduling and patient inquiries. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Demonstrated experience in medical billing, coding, documentation review, and health information management within a clinical setting. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in handling medical records, insurance claims, and care plans.
