Overview Join our dynamic dental practice as a Dental Receptionist and Insurance Coordinator, where your energy and organizational skills will be the heartbeat of our patient experience! In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing front desk operations while expertly coordinating insurance processes. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will ensure smooth daily operations, foster positive patient interactions, and streamline insurance billing and claims. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a caring team dedicated to delivering exceptional dental care with efficiency and professionalism. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming environment and efficient check-in process Schedule appointments using dental practice management software, maintaining accurate calendars Verify patient insurance coverage, explain benefits, and gather necessary documentation for claims processing Submit insurance claims electronically, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Follow up on outstanding claims, denials, and reimbursements to optimize collections Review medical and dental records for completeness and accuracy in compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies Maintain detailed documentation of patient interactions, insurance information, and billing activities using Microsoft Office tools and electronic health records (EHR) systems Assist patients with billing inquiries, payment plans, and financial arrangements while providing excellent customer service Keep the front office organized through filing, data entry, and managing dental records with attention to detail Adhere to all health information management standards including CDT coding and Medicare guidelines for accurate billing Qualifications Proven experience in a dental or medical office setting with strong familiarity in clinic operations and front desk responsibilities Knowledge of medical collection processes, insurance verification, claims submission, and billing procedures Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems; experience with electronic health records management is highly preferred Strong understanding of health insurance policies including HIPAA compliance, Medicare regulations, CDT coding Excellent computer skills with proficiency in dental software (Dentrix knowledge preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite Exceptional communication skills with phone etiquette expertise Ability to review clinical documentation thoroughly while maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards Demonstrated clerical experience supporting dental administrative functions such as filing, data entry, appointment scheduling, and medical records management Strong organizational skills combined with a friendly demeanor to provide outstanding patient service in a fast-paced environment Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a real difference!
