Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Front Desk professional to serve as the welcoming face of our healthcare facility. In this vital role, you will manage patient interactions, coordinate appointments, handle medical records, and support clinical staff with administrative tasks. Your energetic approach and exceptional organizational skills will ensure a smooth patient experience while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and confidentiality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering outstanding patient care through efficient administrative support. Previous Medical Assisting experience a plus. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in procedures using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks. Schedule patient appointments accurately, coordinate follow-up visits, and manage clinic calendars to optimize workflow. Collect and process patient payments Review and update medical records ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies. Answer multi-line phone systems professionally, providing excellent customer service while addressing patient inquiries about health insurance, appointment scheduling, or general clinic information. Manage electronic health records (EHR) management tasks such as filing, documentation review, faxes and data entry with proficiency. Support clinical staff by preparing care plans documentation and assisting with health information management tasks as needed. Skills Proven experience in medical office administration within clinics or dental offices with strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks. Familiarity with medical billing processes including insurance verification, claims submission, and collections related to Medicare or private insurance providers. Knowledge of medical terminology Excellent communication skills with phone etiquette expertise; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse patient populations. Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and electronic health records management software. Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while adhering to HIPAA guidelines and clinical confidentiality policies. Previous clinic or healthcare front desk experience is preferred; EClinicalWorks experience preferred Exceptional organizational skills for managing multiple tasks such as appointment scheduling, filing medical records, and maintaining accurate documentation.
