Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Receptionist, where your energetic and organized approach will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors. In this vital role, you'll manage front desk operations, coordinate patient appointments, verify insurance, and ensure smooth communication between patients and medical staff. Your positive attitude and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment that promotes excellent patient care and efficient clinic operations. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing exceptional customer service at all times Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using patient management software and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems Answer incoming phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries or directing calls to appropriate staff members Collect and verify patient information, insurance details, and update electronic health records accurately Manage administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and maintaining patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA Assist with billing procedures, including processing payments and verifying insurance coverage Support medical staff with administrative support tasks like preparing documentation and managing correspondence Requirements Proven experience working in a medical office or healthcare environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with patient management software or EMR/EHR systems Knowledge of health regulation policies, medical terminology, and health insurance processes Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of patient information at all times Typing speed and accuracy to handle data entry tasks swiftly and precisely Previous office experience preferred but not required; training will be provided for specific systems used Embark on a rewarding career where your proactive approach makes a real difference!
