Job Description

Position Summary The Dental Receptionist is the first point of contact for our patients and plays a vital role in creating an exceptional patient experience. The ideal candidate has previous dental front office experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism. Responsibilities Greet patients and provide a warm, welcoming experience. Answer multi-line phones and schedule appointments efficiently. Verify insurance eligibility and benefits. Submit and follow up on insurance claims and pre-authorizations. Collect patient payments and maintain accurate financial records. Review treatment plans and discuss financial arrangements with patients. Manage patient records and ensure accurate documentation. Confirm appointments and communicate with patients regarding scheduling changes. Coordinate with the clinical team to maintain an efficient daily schedule. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Assist with additional administrative duties as needed. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of dental front office experience required. Experience with dental practice management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, or similar). Knowledge of dental insurance verification, claims processing, and billing. Strong understanding of dental terminology and common procedures. Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Reliable, detail-oriented, and a strong team player. Preferred Qualifications Experience presenting treatment plans and discussing financial options. Familiarity with electronic dental records and digital workflows. Experience with scheduling for providers.
Pay:
$18.00 - $24.00 per hour
