The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and experience working with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers. Responsibilities Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, providers, and internal team members. Obtain and verify patient demographic and insurance information. Schedule and register patients while accurately collecting all required information. Answer and respond to telephone calls from patients, representatives, providers, and other contacts. Schedule, coordinate, and confirm patient appointments. Track daily services and collections. Answer general questions and provide information within the appropriate scope of the receptionist role; refer clinical or department-specific questions to the appropriate staff member. Verify insurance eligibility and benefits. Communicate with insurance companies regarding eligibility, authorizations, claims, and billing concerns. Communicate with patients and providers regarding claims, billing issues, and required documentation. Maintain accurate and organized patient records. Assist with general administrative and office duties as assigned. Protect patient privacy and maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and company policies. Qualifications Previous medical office, receptionist, healthcare, or administrative experience preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and remain organized in a busy office environment. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Comfortable communicating with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies. Basic computer and data-entry skills. Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification, or medical billing is preferred. Dependable, professional, and able to maintain confidential information.
Pay:
$16.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
