Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and organized Dental Front Desk Receptionist to join our vibrant dental practice. In this essential role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming environment while managing daily administrative operations. Your energetic approach and excellent communication skills will help facilitate smooth patient flow, accurate record-keeping, and efficient appointment scheduling. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere at the front desk Schedule appointments accurately using electronic health record (EHR) Verify patient insurance coverage and explain treatment costs, including health insurance knowledge and medical billing procedures Collect payments, process medical collections, and handle billing inquiries with attention to detail and confidentiality Manage patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring all documentation review and medical records are properly maintained Answer incoming calls promptly with excellent phone etiquette, directing inquiries appropriately and providing exceptional customer service Assist with clinical documentation review, CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and care plan coordination as needed Maintain a clean and organized front office environment, supporting medical office management tasks such as filing, data entry, and office supply management Skills Proven experience in medical administrative support or medical office experience in a dental or clinical setting Strong computer skills including proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks; familiarity with electronic health records management is preferred Knowledge of health insurance processes including Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA compliance, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), and medical billing practices Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person; bilingual abilities are a plus Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in documentation review and data entry Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications for administrative tasks such as typing, report generation, and scheduling Strong organizational skills with clerical experience in a healthcare environment; understanding of clinical confidentiality policies is essential Typing speed of at least 10 key strokes per minute along with good phone communication skills Join our team to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives through exceptional service! Pay:
$21.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
