We are seeking a motivated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our team!
Job Description:
This full-time position (36-40 hours per week) will be primarily based in our Elk Grove Village location, but travel to our Arlington Heights and Hoffman Estates offices may be required depending on needs. The role also includes working up to two Saturday mornings a month.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Greet each patient with excellent customer service, assisting with registration, check-in, check-out, and scheduling appointments. Answer a high volume of incoming patient calls for appointment scheduling. Collect necessary paperwork and handle patient financial responsibilities. Prepare patient charts and input patient information into our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, Modernizing Medicine. Work closely with our clinical team and physician staff to ensure seamless patient care.
Job Requirements:
Previous experience as a medical receptionist, preferably in ophthalmology. Knowledge of medical insurance plans, referrals, and prior EMR experience is required. Proficiency with computers and EHR systems (experience with Modernizing Medicine is a plus). Attendance and reliability are crucial in this role. Ability to multitask, work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and maintain attention to detail. Strong organizational and communication skills, with a commitment to providing excellent patient service. Team player with professionalism, compassion, and dedication to excellence.
